Indirect alloactivation of naive and memory T cells following coculture with autologous APCs in the presence of sonicates derived from allogeneic EC, fibroblasts or RPTEC. Nave CD45RA⁺ cells and memory CD45RO⁺ CD4⁺ T cells were isolated from PBMC as described in Methods. Panel A, 1x10⁵ CD45RA⁺CD4⁺ T cells (white bars) or CD45RO⁺CD4⁺ T cells (black bars) were cocultured for 6days with 1x10⁵ irradiated autologous PBMC either alone (striped bars) or in the presence of sonicate (solid bars) prepared from allogeneic IFN treated EC, fibroblasts or RPTEC.
