The recorded spectrum is plotted in black, whereas a quantum-mechanical simulation of the same multiplet is shown in red. The plot demonstrates that the simulation allows for a fully quantitative analysis of the NMR multiplets, which forms the base for a subsequent isotopomer/isotopologue analysis
